Volunteer at the Farm
Your Non-Profit Community Farm Thrives Because of Volunteer Labor — Won't You Lend a Hand?
<
By utilizing non-payroll labor at the p.e.a.c.h. Community Farm, we are able to keep production costs down which makes it possible to offer fresh, organic produce to low-income families at 1/4 to 1/2 of the going market price. That's our primary mission. Volunteer labor also makes it possible for p.e.a.c.h. to fulfill much of the other important project goals in the "Our Fresh Future for Spokane" program (see our About page).
We would love to have you come and work on the farm. We are seeking both skilled and unskilled volunteers. The most important qualification is enthusiasm.
As a volunteer, you'll get a chance to be outdoors at our Community Farm. You'll have the chance to learn organic growing skills that you just might want to put to use in your own garden at home. You'll be working along with a diverse team of fellow volunteers who
together put in hours on a wide variety of projects including planting, weeding, harvesting, building, tending the goats and more. This winter, projects are already underway such as building compost piles, building a new fence for the goat corral and building our "Sprout House" for early seed starting that needs to be finished by February (so we can get the onion crop started).
In any case, please fill out the Volunteer Form below so we can add you to our growing list of helpers. Your personal information is safe with us. We respect your privacy. This way we can contact you when volunteer opportunities arise.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you. We look forward to meeting you.
